Lisbeth: individually

Write down some initial ideas for a short story based on the real life account you have just been working with.
-          Who could be the main character?
An obvious main character would be Scott, because the whole story/diary is written from he´s point of view and we know some of he’s feelings.

-          What kind of narrator would you choose?
If Scott is the main character it would be natural to make him the narrator, as an first person narrator.
But another possibility is to write a story from all (or some) of the men from the expedition’s point of view. In this case I can make the persons and the story as I want.
In contrast to these two options a third person narrator, who knows everything could also be a good narrator.

-          What about the composition?
I think I will write in past tense. Like looking back at the expedition.

-          What do you need to remember for the plot, the atmosphere, the language?
The language must be easy written, the atmosphere must be gloomy because of the saturation and the plot must be simple but with a lot of details.

Linhs ideas for the short story

Individually:
Write down some initial ideas for a short story based on the real life account you have just been working with.
-              Who could be the main character?
o   You could be the main character, so you are “going through” the pain and the bad weather. It could be interesting to read, how you would feel, when you are imaging yourself in a situation like this.
-              What kind of narrator would you choose?
o   I would choose a 1. Person narrator. As I have written above, it could be exciting to write about it, so you can think on other ways.
-              What about the composition?
o   I would write it as an experience I look back on. So I would write it in the past tense.
-              What do you need to remember for the plot, the atmosphere, and the language?
o   That it has to be inspired by the to texts we have read by Scott. It has to be possible to read, where you have got your ideas.
o   The plot could be as the texts we have read about; the men die one by one.
o   The weather and surroundings should be bad, but they has to keep the hope up high.

Individually

Individually:
Write down some initial ideas for a short story based on the real life account you have just been working with.
-          Who could be the main character?
      - A person with a very big and kind of crazy idea.
      - A person who wants to explore something new or try something nobody has done before.
      - One of the persons in the texts view, instead of Scotts.
-          What kind of narrator would you choose?
      - The main character or a person (not in the story) who knows everything.
-          What do you need to remember for the plot, the atmosphere, the language?
      - It have to be an expiring atmosphere, exciting and new. This also has to be seen in the language.

Individually:
-          Take into consideration what you have been talking about concerning the Message to the Public and, based on that, write a new entry in the blog in which you modify (or add to) your initial ideas for a short story. You can also get inspiration from what the others have written about their ideas.
      - A team on an expedition. Wanting to explore something new! Maybe they die, maybe not. Maybe somebody else get first, maybe not.
      - Change the story about Scott and the other dying guys.
